You know them as Doctor but we like to refer to them as pet whisperers.

Dr. Mariann Rozsa

Dr. Rozsa was born in Hungary, where she overcame tremendous obstacles in her childhood before coming to the U.S. in 1996 to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. In 1999, she  graduated at the top 2% of her class from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. As a well-travelled global explorer, Dr. Rozsa has a wide range of interests and experiences. She worked in Africa for two and a half years with cheetahs, leopards, monkeys, antelopes, goats, cattle, and wild dogs! In addition to general veterinary medicine, Dr. Rozsa has been practicing animal acupunture for several years, enjoys Internal Medicine, surgery, dentistry, critical care, and takes special interest in feline medicine.

Dr. Deborah Hackman

Dr. Deborah Hackman was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2006, then moved to Ames, Iowa to attend veterinary school. She completed her DVM at Iowa State University in 2011, during which time she developed a special interest in dentistry, surgery and neurology.

After veterinary school, she moved to sunny San Diego to enjoy the warm weather while practiving veterinary medicine. Over the years she has volunteered for high volume spay and neuter clinics, including the Feral Cat Alliance and Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS). She is USDA accredited and a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association since 2012. Her favorite part about being a veterinarian is helping owners care for their pets and improving their quality of life.

Dr. Hackman has two dogs, a Labrador Retriever and a toy Rat Terrier, as well as two Domestic Shorthaired cats at home. In her spare time she enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, traveling and reading. She looks forward to meeting you and your beloved pet!
